Permits in SC, NC & GA

Please note: Applicants should plan for a three-week review period for all sign permit applications.

As we all know, there have been many design changes in signs over the years as well as many code changes within the jurisdictions that the Sign Industry deals with in our daily lives. Current person in procurement at St. Clair Signs has 16 years’ experience. In those years, working relationships have been established, and in some instances, personal relationships have also developed.

While never wanting to take advantage of the situation, knowing these people so well, certainly helps the service and guidance given on a day to day basis by plan reviewers we deal with. One can’t help but to treat each and every one of these people with respect and kindness as we work together to solve issues or for conformity.

Dealing with various jurisdictions to obtain code researches, securing permits, applying for variances and attending required meetings is a big part of the picture for procurement. There are also road right of ways to deal with, street and sidewalk closures, encroachment permits as well as many more requirements needed to keep our guys and the public safe.

Meeting with city officials to get a better understanding of allowances for a certain parcel is sometimes required to get a better understanding on both perspectives. They are always eager and willing to spend that extra time with us knowing all we want is to be in conformance and to get the most we can for the customer.

St. Clair Signs works closely with an engineer who can seal and stamp artwork required for permitting. We hold business licenses required to pull permits in multiple cities, towns & counties.

Our mission in having our very own “Procurement Department” is to be able to better serve our customers and to be able to answer each and every question they may have. We are here to research and ask all the questions for you. We may not always have the exact answer at our fingertips, but we do know where to look and who to ask. This comes from the experience obtained over the years, the working relationships/friendships and trust built between us and the jurisdictions and their employees.
